Senate Majority Leader Garrett Mason

Senator Garrett Mason, the Senate Majority Leader, is currently serving his third term in the Maine State Senate. He represents the people of Senate District 22 which consists of Litchfield, Wayne, Durham, Greene, Leeds, Lisbon, Sabattus, Turner, and Wales.

Born in Lewiston, Senator Mason was raised in Lisbon Falls by his parents Rick and Gina (Crafts) Mason. He is a 2003 graduate of Calvary Christian Academy of Turner and a 2006 graduate of Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida. He holds a BS degree in Management and Marketing. He has also completed graduate work in business administration at Southern New Hampshire University and in graphic design at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

After college, Senator Mason was able to fulfill a lifelong dream and work for the Portland Sea Dogs, AA affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. After his time at the Sea Dogs came to an end, Mason joined the Lewiston MAINEiacs hockey team. After taking over as the team’s Public Relations Director for two years, he was promoted to Director of Administration, overseeing all day to day business operations of the club. He is currently a realtor with Keller Williams Realty in Portland.

During his time in the Maine State Legislature, Senator Mason has served on the Joint Standing Committee on Education and Cultural Affairs as well as the Joint Standing Committee on Veterans and Legal Affairs. He chaired the Joint Standing Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety during the 125th Legislature, and was also a member of the Legislative Youth Advisory Council. During the 127th Legislature he will serve as a member of the Joint Standing Committee on Energy, Utilities, and Technology. 

Senator Mason lives in Lisbon Falls and attends Lisbon Falls Baptist Church.
