Augusta – Senator Amy Volk (R-Cumberland) had an outstanding, nearly perfect attendance record in the Senate this year. She was present for 98.7 percent of the hundreds of roll call votes taken.

“It’s important to be present for every vote possible,” said Senator Volk. “The people of Scarborough, Gorham, and Buxton trust me to be their voice at the State House and I take that duty very seriously.”

From January to July, roll call votes were held on matters ranging from the state budget to welfare reform to education policy.

Senator Volk is currently serving her first term in the Maine Senate, having previously served two terms in the Maine House. She is the Chair of the Legislature’s Labor, Commerce, Research, and Economic Development Committee as well as a member of the Judiciary Committee.
