Augusta – Senator Linda Baker (R-Sagadahoc) was present for every single one of the hundreds of roll call votes in the Maine Senate this year.
“My constituents work hard, and they deserve the same from their elected officials,” said Senator Baker. “That is why I made every effort to ensure I was present to cast a vote on the many important issues that came before the Senate this year. Just as it is in the private sector, accountability and showing up to do your job is crucial for effective public service.”
From January to July, roll call votes were held on matters ranging from the state budget to welfare reform to education policy.
Senator Baker is currently serving her first term in the Maine Senate. She is the Chair of the Joint Standing Committee on Marine Resources as well as a member of the Insurance and Financial Services Committee.
