Augusta – Senator Rod Whittemore (R-Somerset) was present for every single one of the hundreds of roll call votes in the Maine Senate held during the First Regular Session of the 127th Maine Legislature.

“Serving in the Maine Senate is an honor and a serious responsibility,” said Senator Whittemore. “Ensuring that I am in my seat to cast a vote is the most fundamental and important aspect of serving in the Senate as it is how the voice of my constituents is heard.”

During the legislative session, roll call votes were held on matters ranging from the state budget to welfare reform to education policy.

Senator Whittemore is currently serving his third term in the Maine Senate. He is the Chair of both the Insurance and Financial Services and the State and Local Government Committee.
