Senator David Woodsome

woodsome-smallOn November 4, 2014, the people of Senate District 33 elected David Woodsome to the Maine State Senate. District 33 consists of the towns of Cornish, Limerick, Newfield, Parsonsfield, Sanford, Shapleigh, and Waterboro.

A graduate of Sanford High School and the University of Maine, Senator Woodsome was a teacher and coach before retiring after 35 years. He has also served three terms as a Waterboro selectman, and currently chairs the Select Board.

During the 127th Maine Legislature, Senator Woodsome will be the Chair of the Energy, Utilities, and Technology Committee. He is also a member of the State and Local Government Committee.

Senator Woodsome lives in North Waterboro. He has two adult daughters, Meaghan and Kate.
